HM-540 is a high-power moisture tester that works by simply pressing it lightly into the wood, leaving the wood surface without any scratches.
Wood for construction needs a long time to dry completely; determining the dryness only by the surface can cause many problems such as warping and deviation from the finished size.
To prevent these problems, the HM-540 allows users to measure the moisture content inside the wood.
In addition, when damage to the surface is undesirable, such as for high-grade dry wood used for furniture and musical instruments, or wood with low moisture content is measured using this device with high efficiency.
The HM-540 is equipped with humidity value calibration, data storage/export, statistical calculation and auto-hold in addition to all the functions provided with the HM-520, which is our regular model, with a larger display and backlight. Furthermore, the housing and switches have been redesigned based on ergonomics, making the device more user-friendly.
