Moisture meter for recycling paper emco Model: AP 500-M2 The emco AP 500-M2 moisture meter is a digital hand-held measuring device for the quick and mobile moisture determination without sampling to detect moisture accumulation in stacks and bales of recovered paper. The meter determines the absolute moisture content of waste paper by simply pressing it on. This moisture content makes it possible to calculate the exact water content of the waste paper delivery. The emco AP 500-M6 moisture meter is a digital hand-held measuring device for the quick and mobile moisture determination without sampling to detect moisture accumulation in stacks and bales of recovered paper. The meter determines the absolute moisture content of waste paper by simply pressing it on. This moisture content makes it possible to calculate the exact water content of the waste paper delivery. IBT Internal Bond Tester The emco IBT Internal Bond Tester realizes a dynamic measuring principle for determination of the splitting strength of paper, cardboard and compound systems. By the use of a pendulum machine high shear stresses are simulated which are relevant for evaluation of material behaviour during processes of product finishing and mechanical stress. High processing speed and structual loads stress the fiber strength and interfiber bonding of the paper. Therefore we are talkting about Internal Bond strength test according to Tappi 569 (Scott Bond test). Contrary to the analysis of the mechanical devices of Scott Bond emco IBT is digital and uses the associated advantages.

The new emco NDT Wet Expansion tester for paper realizes a dynamic measuring principle for the determination of the wet stretch course. The testing of wet stretch of paper is relevant for the assessment of the material behaviour in manufacturing process as well as in application only when a dynamic measurement procedure is used. The expansion measurement of a paper sample can be performed in different test liquids. In combination with immersion and expansion time the application process can be optimally simulated. Expansion of paper caused by liquids means the swelling of the fibers by absorption of liquid. Thereby paper fibers swell less in machine direction than in cross direction. Equivalent results arise from wet stretch measurements at standard climatic conditions (23 °C, 50 % rH) and defined counterweights (Fenchel, Mütek CD, Mütek MD).
